Patrick Flynn Obituary
1966 - 2017 Patrick Flynn was a devoted husband, dedicated father, loving son, caring brother, and faithful friend and co-worker. He was born in Saigon, Vietnam on March 7, 1966. He was the oldest of four children to John and Norah Flynn. Patrick married Michele in May 2001. Together they had two children: Connor and Madeleine. Patrick also has three siblings: Noreen, Terence, and Kevin; along with two nephews, Bryn and Stephen. Patrick was a very hard working family man. In addition to a full-time job for the City of Burbank as a Revenue Manager, he and Michele shared their love of giving back to their community. He served on the boards for St. Francis Xavier PTO and the Kids' Community Dental Clinic. He was also active in Boy Scouts Troop 209. Patrick volunteered as a parent coach for the 2016-2017 St. Francis Xavier's Junior High Academic Decathlon team which Connor and Maddy were part of. He was instrumental in leading the team to receive many awards and earn a trip to the State competition. All the kids on the team looked up to him as a dedicated and true mentor. Patrick was loved by many who met him. Family, friends, and co-workers all felt closeness to Patrick because of his kind and caring manner. His dry wit was always enjoyable to be around. Even the medical professionals he met during the eight weeks he spent in the ICU enjoyed the person he was and they cared deeply for his well-being. Patrick was known for his dry sense of humor, intelligence, love of family, and his deep sense of who he was and what he believed in. He will be greatly missed and always loved and remembered.
