Paul Green Obituary
November 8, 1925 - April 7, 2017 Paul Green peacefully passed away in his sleep after a long illness. Proud of his European heritage, having immigrated to the United States in the 1940's, he settled in the Van Nuys area. He co-managed with his brother "The Bushel Basket", a market that became a neighborhood staple for the next 40 years. Paul was a people-person his entire life, and was always engaged with his market customers. He was an active member of Temple Adat Ari El and regularly and proudly read the Torah portions to the delight of the congregants. Paul was actively skiing into his mid 80's, and before the age of self-driving cars boasted, "my car knows how to drive itself to Mammoth". Paul is survived by his two children, Steven and Beverly, four grandchildren, two brothers and sister, and many extended family and friends that will miss him.
