Brother Paul LaSalle Bossong F.S.C. Obituary
October 26, 1929 - January 21, 2018 Brother Paul LaSalle (Norman) Bossong, F.S.C., died at the age of 89 on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Mont La Salle's Holy Family Community after a fatal heart attack. Brother Dominic was born in San Francisco in 1929, where he attended Saint Peter's School, and Central District Catholic High School. He entered the Juniorate of Brothers of the Christian Schools at Mont LaSalle, Napa, and received the Religious Habit in 1947. His tour of duty included Garces HS, Bakersfield, San Joaquin Memorial HS, Fresno, LaSalle HS, Pasadena, LaSalle HS, Milwaukie, Oregon, Justin-Siena HS, Napa, and of course, his beloved Cathedral HS in Los Angeles. His total dedication to the Brothers and to education showed that he was very much loved, honored, and respected. Brother LaSalle was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Norman and Lupe, and his brother, Addison who was killed in action during WW II. He is survived by his cousin, Jean of Paradise, California. His Brothers, his friends, his colleagues, and especially his former students too numerous to mention, are also his "survivors." The viewing will occur on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:30 AM in the Rotunda of the Main Chapel at Mont LaSalle, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00AM in the Main Chapel. This will be immediately followed by burial in the Brothers' Cemetery and a buffet luncheon will be served after the burial ceremony.
