Peter Timm Brower Obituary
July 5, 1939 - November 18, 2015 Born in Glendale, California on July 5, 1939, Peter Timm Brower was the second of two sons born to Evelyn and Nicholas Brower. His childhood included time spent in New York, Chicago, Northern California and the South Bay community of Redondo Beach. Following graduation from Redondo Union High School, Pete enlisted in the Army as a paratrooper where he served as a medic. After the Army, Pete found his way to Humboldt State where he finished his degree and met his future wife Susan. Following graduation, Pete and Sue married and began their teaching careers, which led them from the South Bay to Placerville, to Tustin and South Orange County. As a teacher, administrator and principal, Pete was deeply dedicated to his students and staff in Tustin Unified School District, ever embracing the fun by dressing up as "Zero the Hero" for the students at Beswick Elementary School. Pete's love of family, adventure and the outdoors included long summer surf days at San Onofre, Alaska and California gold mining, following baseball across the country, surfing safaris in Costa Rica and Mexico as well as trips to Russia, Ireland and Portugal. A lifelong baseball coach and beloved husband, dad, Boppa and friend, Pete died on November 18, 2015 from Alzheimer's disease. He was 76. Pete is survived by his wife of 50 years Susan, daughter Kim (Steve), son Pete (Aline), grandchildren Keagan, Helen, Delaney Sue, Eydie and Otto as well as close family and friends.
