Phoebe "Jean" Cooper Obituary
April 16, 1934 - January 14, 2017 Phoebe "Jean" Cooper, 82, passed peacefully on January 14th in Thousand Oaks, CA with family at her side. Jean was born in Bairoil, WY to Marion and Pearl Cochran and was the youngest of 3 children. She graduated from Yakima High School in WA and enlisted in the US Air Force in 1952. After her honorable discharge she met and married Robert Medina Cooper and they raised their family in Arleta, CA. Jean and Bob retired to Las Vegas in 1994. Jean remained in Las Vegas for 17 years where she enjoyed her many friends. She was active at her church St. Joseph of Mary Parish. She loved her roses and working in her garden. Mom had a great sense of humor and a very quick wit even while dealing with dementia. In 2011 she moved to Thousand Oaks, CA to be with her children. She is survived by her children Max Cooper (Susan), Benita Young (Michael), Aleta Anderson and Geri Auerbach (Harry) and 5 grandsons and will be missed by many. One of her famous quotes, "I'm just not gonna worry about it." Services and burial with be held at the San Fernando Mission Rey Church on February 4th at 11:00am.
