Richard Banta Obituary

BANTA , Richard A.
Born Bridgeport, Nebraska 1925. Served four years in U.S. Army WWII. Practicing architect in So. California since 1954. Passed away peacefully February 9, 2007 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Beloved husband of Charlotte for 58 years. Devoted father of Paige Lasater (Jeffery) and Gail Piedalue. Caring grandfather of Kristin and Michael Hughes and Nathan and Jeremiah Lasater, sister of Barbara Uhler.
Richard and Charlotte enjoyed traveling to forty countries over the years and took many trips across the U.S. and Canada in a motor home/van designed and built by Richard.
His children can recall fun filled years with their father who was a great dad and role model. He was a wonderful husband and will be greatly missed.
A memorial will be held at a later date in Los Osos, CA.
The family requests that any gift in Richard's memory be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 5900 Wilshire Blvd., #1100 Los Angeles, CA 90036.
