November 28, 1936 - December 8, 2016 Richard ("Dick") Boyd Crouch, a longtime resident of Westwood (Los Angeles) CA, died at his home on December 8, 2016 after a long and hard fought illness. Just ten days earlier, he and his twin sister Diane celebrated their 80th birthday. Dick was born in Chicago, IL and moved with his family to Westwood when he was six years old. During the Cuban Missile Crisis, he served as an active member of the National Guard stationed at the Presidio in San Francisco. Dick was kind and generous to all. He was able to instantly build rapport with all types of people and always was interested in what they had to offer. He was a man of great integrity in both his personal and professional lives, and will be remembered fondly by friends and colleagues alike. Dick was a long-standing member of the Westwood United Methodist Church where he was active as an usher and on several church committees. Dick worked for more than thirty years for UNOCAL, including seven years in Anchorage, Alaska, which gave him a lasting love of Alaskan culture and natural beauty. He was married to his first wife, Barbara Beilharz Crouch (died 1998), for 37 years, and is survived by his second wife of 17 years, Barbara Behnke-Crouch. He is also survived by his son Brian and Brian's wife Tai Crouch, and beloved grandchildren Sydney and Austin of Orlando FL; twin sister Diane Hendricks Bitsberger (husband Don Bitsberger) of Bethesda MD; and sister Janis Lynn Nordstrom (husband Gordon Nordstrom) of Vero Beach FL.
