Obituary Condolences

Beloved husband of Bobbi and loving father of Randy, Kasia and Jeff; and grandfather of Robert and Ula, passed away on June 9th. He graduated from Dartmouth College and Stanford Law School. As he wrote in the Dartmouth Review on the occasion of his 50th reunion yearbook some years ago, his "hobbies and past times included being active and serving as a director of several eleemosynary institutions, the ownership of a professional baseball franchise, professional stage acting, very non-professional golf, playing forty years of fast pitch softball and traveling. As the John Denver song goes, 'it's been a good life, all in all.'" His sense of humor is legendary, as is his gumption and playfulness. A few examples include sneaking onto Wimbledon and hitting imaginary balls with a friend just before the big tournament, donning a Chicago Cubs uniform (that he received at Cubs Baseball Camp) and walking onto Dodger Stadium and playing catch with members of the Cubs just before a Dodger game as an "old timer" Cub alumni, walking on and playing soccer at (and being ejected from) Wembley Stadium, joining the English Cricket team during their practice and asking for and receiving pointers on some of the finer points of the game. He gave himself completely in everything he did, and has and will always remain an inspiration for those of us who will always love him.
