Robert B. Lillywhite Obituary
November 23, 1925 - August 5, 2017 Beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather, Bob passed away September 5, 2017 at age 91. Born November 23, 1925 to R. Noel and Alda Lillywhite in Brigham City, Utah, he moved with his family to Los Angeles as a child. Bob enlisted in the Marine Corps in July 1943 and served in WWII. He participated in four major battles, including Saipan and Iwo Jima. Upon his return, he completed his electrical apprenticeship, and was a member of IBEW for over 65 years. He married his soul mate, Maribeth, in 1951, and they shared 61 loving years. He raised his family in Alhambra, CA, then moved to Long Beach, CA, in 2013. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Maribeth (Harvey) Lillywhite. He is survived by his children, Mark Lillywhite, Elaine (Harold) Basler and Kevin (Eileen) Lillywhite, grandchildren Traci Garrett, Spencer (Michelle) Lillywhite, Austin (Karlee) Lillywhite and Jenna Lillywhite, and great-grandson Martin (A.J.) Renteria. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at 9am at All Souls Mortuary Chapel, 4400 Cherry Ave., Long Beach, CA 90807 followed by burial at approx. 10:45am at Resurrection Cemetery, 966 Potrero Grande Dr., Montebello, CA 90640. Services under the care of All Souls Mortuary (562) 424-8601.
