Robert John Le Blanc

Obituary Condolences

April 10, 1927 - September 7, 2015 Robert (Bob) John LeBlanc passed away peacefully on the evening of September 7th at his home in Los Angeles. Bob is survived by his beloved wife Irene, with whom he recently celebrated their 60 year wedding anniversary, his seven children, Donna (Steve), Jean, Joseph, Paul (Ana), Melette (Mathew), Michael (Sonji), and Annette, his twelve grandchildren, and his sister Delores (Fred). He was proud of his closely knit family, and nothing brought him more joy than a backyard barbecue, surrounded by his wife and family. His joyful presence will be deeply missed by them, and everyone who had the pleasure of spending time with him. Throughout his life, Bob had many friends and was known for his intelligence, warmth, creativity, and great sense of humor. He was an articulate aficionado of jazz (the good kind!) and always appreciated a good fish taco. His enthusiasm for life was infectious, and he took no kindness for granted. Bob was quick with praise and gratitude and profoundly valued every day he had and every person he met. He and his family were passionate animal lovers, and over the years adopted, rescued and provided a home for many lucky dogs. A viewing is scheduled for Sept. 16th from 6 to 8 p.m. at McCormick Mortuary at 635 S. Prairie, in Inglewood. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Sept. 17 from 1 until 3 p.m. also at McCormick Mortuary. Bob will be buried in Cambria California, where the LeBlancs have enjoyed their vacation home for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Humane Society.
