Obituary Condolences

Robert "Bud" Kanne passed away on December 14, 2015 at Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. Bud was 82 years old. Bud was born on August 12, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois. He was truly a renaissance man and had a profound effect on everybody whose lives he touched. He served honorably in the military, and enjoyed a long and successful career in marketing and advertising until his retirement in 1998. A "mensch" in every sense of the word, Bud was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was warm, compassionate, generous, creative, loyal, and witty and was full of boundless energy. Known for his almost juvenile sense of humor, Bud brightened every room he entered with his smile and brought an overly optimistic attitude to just about every situation. His family, and especially his seven grandchildren, was the light of his eyes, and he made sure he was present for every holiday, birthday or momentous occasion. He was passionate about his art and sculpting and proudly served on the Board of Jewish Family Services of Los Angeles. His loss will be felt by many, but his memory will serve as a blessing to all. Bud is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 38 years Ethel (Leader); his children Larry (Deb), Bruce Berman(Lori) and Debbie Ferdman; his grandchildren Tyler and Ryan Kanne, Joshua, Sophie and Adam Berman and Carly and Jaclyn Ferdman; his sister Lois Warshaw and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Sidney and Lilian (Vehon) Kanne; his first wife Carol (Davis); and brother in law Milt Warshaw. In lieu of flowers, Bud requested that donations be made to Jewish Family Services of Los Angeles in his memory. Services will be held at 12:30pm on Friday December 18th at Mt. Sinai Simi Valley.
