Robert Saul Seider Obituary
September 21, 1945 - September 13, 2016 "Robby," as his friends and family knew him, was born September 21, 1945. He died of a sudden heart attack September 13, 2016 at his home in Desert Hot Springs, just shy of his 71st birthday. A beloved brother to Barbara and Dennis and loving husband to his wife Janis, his enduring enthusiasm for the outdoors, adventurous touring, Kings Canyon and laughing out loud will be missed by those who knew him. A largely self taught musician, he backed Billy Preston in Las Vegas and formed his own band and played drums, guitar and key boards at popular venues all over Los Angeles including Whiskey A Go Go, and Gazzarri's on the Sunset Strip. He also composed and sang vocals with the band and extemporaneously played jazz on the piano reminiscent of Keith Jarrett. Robby had his hard times but lived long enough to conquer them all. Like most of his adventures it was a great trip but just not long enough.
