Ronald D. Heer Obituary
1954 - 2017 Ron was born in Corvallis, Oregon and moved to California as a child. He was a graduate of Dinuba High School, attended Reedley College, received a bachelors degree from New Jersey City College, and enlisted in the US Army. Following his four year tour of duty as an MP (Military Policeman), he was employed by the Department of Defense in a civilian police capacity serving at a military base in New Jersey. Ron married, later divorced, had no children and moved back to California. He settled in South Pasadena and served as a Deputy for the LA Sheriff's Department over 25 years. Following retirement he spent much time enjoying the DVD's that he had collected. Ron, age 62, died on September 13 of an unexpected and sudden cardiac arrest. He is survived by his brother and wife, Don and Monica; his sister, Roxanne Bradley; his former wife, Cookie; many loving friends and former coworkers. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline and Irvin. A private memorial will be held for family in the Fresno area where Ron grew-up and was hoping to relocate before his passing. His ashes will be free in the area he loved. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the . Ron will be greatly missed; for his smile, kind heart, and quick wit. May he now rest in peace.
