Ronald Hefler Obituary

May 2, 1938 - May 15, 2017 Ron was born to Delbert and Anne Hefler in Streator, Illinois. They preceded him in death along with his sister JoAnne Torbert. Ron was a graduate of the Art Institute in Chicago and the University of Illinois. After college he moved to Palm Beach, Florida, and became the scenic designer of the Royal Poinciana Playhouse, where he began his career as an artist and painter. After a short stay in San Francisco he moved to Los Angeles in 1965 where he met David Graham who was to become his true love and partner for over fifty years. Ron and David took over 42 cruises and loved to travel. And lived life to its fullest. Ron was an Interior Designer who did work internationally. Most of it being in Southern California but he also did homes in Arizona, Idaho, New York City and state, Canada, Puerto Vallarta and Mexico City. Thru his work Ron brought beauty and happiness to his many clients and so many of these became lifelong friends of his and David's. He will be greatly missed by so very many people. Ron is being cremated by the Neptune Society and a Celebration of his Life will be announced at a later date.

He made our home beautiful with his knowledge of paint colors. I was looking him up for a new project and am so sorry to hear of his passing.
