Rose Marie Miller passed away on the morning of January 18,2018 in the loving home of her daughter, Betsy Malloy. Mom, Rosey, Granny Rose- Rose was a proud Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and even Great Great Grandmother to all who loved her. She was known for her quick wit and kept her life full of laughter and love. She was born in Boyle Heights on October 22, 1917. The eldest daughter to Nicholas and Agnes Balich. There were 6 children, Stephen, George, John and Jeannie and Betty Ann (Rossi). She attended Rosevelt High School and during that time met her future husband Daniel John (Dan) Petrovich Miller. An avid sports woman and cheerleader, Rose caught Dan's eye and they were married in 1935. Dan and Rose eventually moved to Hancock Park to raise their seven children. Their home on Rimpau Blvd. Was always full of friends and family. These seven children gave Dan and Rose 25 grandchildren , 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Diane Kordick (5), Daniel (Bud) (3), Elizabeth Ann (Betsy Malloy (5), Paul-deceased and Michelle Miller (2), Jeanette (Janey) and John Paul Jones (4), Gregory (Greg) and Lee Miller (4), Tracy and Jim Slater (2). In her spare time, Rose spent many hours volunteering at all her children's schools. She was instrumental in her unflagging devotion to the Women's Guild of St Anthony's Croation Catholic Church. Each week she helped run the St. John of God's Thrift Shop. Her home on Rimpau was always full. As a firm believer in Christ. We are certain she is at last on the Faith Mobile on the Road of Trust. Rose taught her love of helping others to her children and to their children. They carry on her legacy with laughter generosity and love. They miss their Granny Rose.
