April 11, 1925 - December 7, 2016 Santa Monica, California - Roselyn Mary Roberto passed from this world at her residence at Ocean Villa in Santa Monica, CA. She was surrounded by her loving family, her children and grandchildren. For over seventy years Roselyn was a great supporter of the Italian community through her charity work. Her ardent faith supported her through years of raising her loving and devoted family. Roselyn was an extraordinary woman with the biggest heart and always had a smile on her face. She was everything to her family and they were everything to her. She will be deeply missed. She was predeceased by her husband Bert Anthony Roberto and parents Nick Rocco, Elena and Sam Turroni, and her sisters Grace Belcastro and Lorene Mahan. She leaves a strong and loving family legacy survived by her children Tom and Lynne Roberto, Sandra and Alex Hererra and Mary Anne Roberto and Manuel Monterrubio; and her grandchildren: Michael Roberto (Elizabeth Runyan), Joseph Roberto (Andrea Rarrick), Elena Roberto, Anna Roberto, Marina Herrera and Jonathan Monterrubio; her nephews: Michael Belcastro, Joseph Roberto and Philip Roberto; her nieces: Maureen Mahan, Kay Douglas, and Beth Ann Brady. She will be greatly missed by her extended family of the Monacos, DiMartiles and Colburn cousins as well as her neighbors and friends. Funeral services are to be held Monday evening, December 12th, 2016, at 6 o'clock PM at St. Brendan's Church at 310 S. Van Ness Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90004. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Brendan's School where Roselyn worked as a librarian for 20 years at 238 S. Manhattan Pl., Los Angeles, CA 90004.
