Samuel Guber Obituary
July 18, 1908 to May 24, 2005 Samuel Guber, born July 18, 1908, died peacefully Monday evening, May 24, 2005. A 92 year Massachusetts resident, CY, as he was affectionately called, lived most of those years with his family in Newton, Masschusetts. His wife Ruth of almost seventy years died in 2001. He is survived by three sons, Charles Guber and wife Beth, Michael Guber and wife Susan, and Peter Guber and wife Tara. He also has eight grandchildren, Todd and James Guber, Carolyn Langelier, Elizabeth Stephen and Jodi, Elizabeth, Samuel and Jackson Guber and three great-grandchildren, Caroline, Anna, Ryan. His sister, Sally Sherman, lives in Northern California with her daughter, Karen and husband Michael. Another sister, Rose, passed away several years ago. Cy was a devoted father and husband and as a scrap metal broker provided all the resources and support that his family would need to flourish. He was a member of the Masons. As an avid golfer, his membership and golfing in Pine Brook Country Club was a source of great enjoyment. We will be forever grateful for all that he has given us and he will be in our hearts forever. Services will be held at Hillside Memorial Park on May 26th, 2005 at 1:00 p.m.
