Sandra Ruth Davisson Obituary
March 14, 1944 - July 19, 2017 Sandra "Sandi" Davisson passed away on July 19, 2017 after a lengthy battle with Lung Cancer. Sandi was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 14, 1944, and moved to Los Angeles when she was 4 years old. Sandi had beautiful flowing red hair which was her trademark and was often called "Red" by her siblings. After raising two children, she went back to school at the age of 45. She subsequently graduated law school, was a member of the Law Review and passed the California Bar Exam on her first try in 1994 at the age of 50. She and her husband Dan had a law practice together for over 20 years in the San Fernando Valley where they focused mainly on Family Law. Always known as a hard-worker, she and Dan volunteered extensive amounts of time over the years to the underserved, and were recognized by the San Fernando Valley Bar Association as winners of the prestigious Lintz award in 2014. Sandi had a great sense of humor, quick-wit and was a good friend to many. Besides working with Dan, some of her favorite past-times were spending time with family, especially her 3 grandchildren, traveling, gardening and visiting a See's Candy store. Sandi is preceded in death by her parents Abraham (Abe) Mashman and Sylvia Mashman (Golad). Sandi is survived by her husband of almost 30 years, Daniel Davisson, brothers Edward (Ed) Mashman (Carolyn) and Mel Mashman (Dierdre), her Aunt Judy Marshman, son Jeff Jacobs (Phoebe), daughter Julie Bozhor (Oleg), and 3 grandchildren. She will be sorely missed each day by the many people whose lives she touched. There will be no formal service, but there will be a Celebration of Life gathering, which is what Sandi wanted, with the time and date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please send any tax deductible donations to the Valley Community Legal Foundation - Sandra Davisson Memorial Fund or the .
