Stanley Mann Obituary
Writer/producer Stanley Mann 87, passed away peacefully at home in Los Angeles on January 11, 2016. His prodigious career spanned seven decades that included an Academy Award nomination for best adapted screenplay, with his partner John Kohn, for "The Collector." Other classic films are "The Mouse that Roared," "Eye of the Needle" and the cult horror film "Theatre of Blood." Born in Toronto, Canada, he moved to London in his twenties then to Los Angeles in the 1970's where his films include "Damien, Omen II," and "Conan the Destroyer." He was witty and kind, generous and wise, but, above all, he was beloved. He is survived by his wife, Joan, 3 children, and 4 grandchildren. Donation to SPCA LA and MPTF Woodland Hills, CA.
