Sterling Hunt Rinear II Obituary
March 26, 1927 - May 10, 2015 Sterling Hunt Rinear II, 88, passed away peacefully on May 10 2015. His son Tom and daughter-in-law Kris were with him as he left this world. Sterling was born in Los Angeles to Sterling Hunt Rinear I and Charlotte Snyder Rinear. He was raised in the Antelope Valley and served honorably in the US Navy. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University. He was married to Marcella Jane Kresich Rinear for 52 years and she predeceased him in 2005. Sterling spent 35 years in the food brokerage industry and was a pioneer in what was a fledgling business at the time. In 1985, he became a special education teacher in South Los Angeles until he retired in 2005. He was loved by his students and their families, and was often invited over to houses for a meal. A long time resident of Los Angeles, Sterling moved to Rancho Bernardo in 2012 to be closer to family. Besides his son and daughter-in-law, he is survived by his sister Georgia Haydon and her extended family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or The . He will always be in our hearts, and we are so grateful for all of his guidance and love. RIP Daddy-O!
