Sue BROWN Obituary
March 11, 1922 - March 14, 2017 Just three days after her 95th birthday, she peacefully left us, free at last from the years' long struggle with dementia, to reunite with her daughter, Susan, and her husband, Mervin, both of whom predeceased her much too early, but now all together in His Kingdom. Born Beulah Ann Ridenour in Wisconsin, she was one of 11 children of Samuel and Lona Ridenour, and the names of her 10 siblings she continued to joyfully recall through her final day. After her arrival in Southern California shortly before the start of World War II, she ultimately met and married the man of her dreams, Merv, in 1946, and adopted the name of Sue Brown, the name by which she was known for virtually her entire adult life. From there, they raised their family in Westchester, California, until relocating to Burbank, California, in 1993, to be able to spend their remaining years near their son, Mark, his wife, Katie, and their 2 granddaughters, Allyse and Carly. Her love and care for her husband, family, siblings, friends and neighbors over the many years, along with her devoted caregivers during her final years, will not be forgotten and will be treasured. As she left us that Tuesday evening, with Mark and Katie at her side, our love and prayers will always be with her. Final private arrangements are pending.
