September 11, 1943 - July 1, 2015 Resident of Hollywood and Van Nuys, CA, passed away peacefully at 11:35 a.m., Surrounded by family. She was the loving wife of 35 years to Raoul. Susan, born in Columbus, Ohio, was a gifted singer, pianist and choir soloist who dedicated her life to helping others. She greatly impacted the lives of everyone she met. A Hollywood Lutheran Church member for 36 years, she was passionately involved in the Gay Rights, the Ministry of Music, the Administration of the Church, Assistant Minister, and a delegate to the Southwest California Synod (ELCA) national convention. Her big, heartfelt hugs, warm blue eyes, infectious laugh and amazing faith in God will be dearly missed worldwide. She truly believed in the therapeutic healing power of hugs, and lived well, hugged much and laughed often. Susan is survived by her husband, brothers, Roger, Randy, Reynold and Ross. Memorial service is pending. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Susan's name could be made to Hollywood Lutheran Church, 1733 N. New Hampshire Avenue, Hollywood, CA 90027, or The City of Hope.
