Theodore H. Wallace Obituary
April 28, 1930 - February 29, 2016 Theodore "Ted" Wallace passed away on Monday February 29, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones. Ted was born in Mount Vernon, New York to parents Ira and Esther Wallace on April 28,1930. The family relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1948 where Ted finished his senior year of high school at Fairfax High. He attended UCLA and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree as well as his Master's Degree in Microbiology. In 1953 he met the love of his life, Loretta, and the two were married on June 20, 1954. Soon after, Ted was called to serve in the United States Army. After completing his military service, Ted was admitted to Marquette Medical School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin which is now known as Medical College of Wisconsin. After being awarded his Medical Degree, both Ted and Loretta returned to Los Angeles so Ted could complete both his internship and also a residency program in the specialty of Orthopedic Surgery. For many years Ted had his private practice in Beverly Hills and was on staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center until he retired in December of 2008. While in practice, Ted's main concern was to provide the best of care to all his patients, and they loved him for that reason. In addition to working very hard, Ted enjoyed sports which included attending many seasons of UCLA basketball as a loyal fan. He also loved playing paddle tennis with his many friends. He and his family also enjoyed his sailboat and their time spent together in Marina Del Rey. Ted is survived by his loving wife Loretta and sons Richard and Gregory. A funeral service will be held Sunday March 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Eden Memorial Park, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills, CA. 91345.
