August 30, 1921 - December 20, 2016 Mr. Theodore Rowland Leutzinger, 95, of Hollywood, CA, passed away December 20, 2016, of heart failure. He was born August 30, 1921, in Lansing, MI. He was predeceased by his son Kent Leutzinger. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Crigler Leutzinger; sister Mary Joan Lakeland of Berkley, CA; son Craig Leutzinger (Janet) of Lawrenceville, GA; grandsons Christopher, Mark (Sara), and Evan (Kandis); and great-grandchildren Lindley, Samuel, and Nyomi. Ted received a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and a master's degree from UCLA. He served in the US Army during WWII. He worked for Travelers Insurance Company for 42 years. He was active in the Great Books Foundation, Adult Educators of L.A., World Federalist Association, Citizens for Global Solutions, United Nations Association, So. Calif. Regional Council of Organizations, International Criminal Court Alliance, Presbyterian Peacemakers Group, and Hollywoodland Homeowners Association. He received many honors for his service with these groups. Ted and Carolyn loved to travel and visited 120 countries. He was a member of Wilshire Presbyterian Church. A celebration of his life will take place at the church, 300 S. Western Ave., L.A., on January 14 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Wilshire Presbyterian Church (213-387-5387) or Citizens for Global Solutions (Globalsolutions.org). "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God" (Matthew 5:9).
