July 22, 1931 - August 22, 2015 Our beloved Scotsman passed peacefully at Vitas Hospice in his 84th year. Loving husband to Patricia (nee Kluwe). Father of Dorothy Sperling, Deborah Sears, and the late Douglass. Step-Dad to Ronald, Clark, and Martin Kluwe. Proud grandfather of Chris, Gregory, Kimberly, Lacey, Tyson, Alan, Jeffrey, and Katie. Great-Grandfather to Olivia and Remy. Survived by his brother Harold and his wife Joy. Son of the late Edward T. Rattray. Tom was born in the City he loved, Los Angeles. While attending Venice High he was employed at Pafford Associates. He served five years in the Navy in Guam during the Korean war. Upon returning to his prior employment he became a licensed surveyor. He was an alumnus of UCLA (go Bruins) and started his life-long dream of owning his own business. Rattray and Associates, Inc. was formed offering surveying and photogrammetry with offices in Escondio, Newport Beach, and Santa Ana, CA. Tom loved to play golf, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed many trips throughout the world, moving to Florida in 2000. If desired, donations in memory of Tom can be made to the Vitas Hospice 4450 W.
