Thomas Franklin Savage Obituary
February 21, 1934 - July 22, 2016 Thomas Franklin Savage passed away at his home in Arcadia California at the age of 82 on July 22, 2016. Tom was born on February 21, 1934 in Butte, Montana. He attended high school at Loyola Marymount and graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 1957 with a degree in Business Administration. From 1957 to 1979 Tom was employed by Union Bank as VP & Sr. Loan officer at the Los Angeles Downtown Regional Head office. In 1980, Tom was a founder of one of the most successful independent banks- First Business Bank located in downtown Los Angeles, where he was Executive VP in charge of all lending functions. In 1999, the bank was acquired by Mellon Bank. He remained active in banking, as a Sr. Advisor at First Enterprise Bank, until the bank merged with California United Bank in 2014. Tom is survived by his loving wife Julie Savage; sons Cliff and George Savage; daughters Susan Silvestri and Adria Ladenes; and 6 grandchildren: Liana, Ella, Danica, Ashley, Cody James and Matthew. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Philip the Apostle, 151 S. Hill Street, Pasadena on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Cabot & Sons in Pasadena.
