Tova (Schuchmacher) Shachory Obituary
January 25, 1937 - December 26, 2016 Predeceased by Shlomo, her beloved husband of 37 years. Survived by her cherished daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Claudio, and precious granddaughters, Michelle, Allison and Camilla. Tova is also survived by her loving siblings, sisters Rochelle (Bruce), Eva, Tzipi and Ilana (Zvi), and brothers Gershon (predeceased by Leah) and Shaia (Beverly), in addition to her many adored nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Born in Warsaw, Poland, Tova was a Child Holocaust Survivor who lost her dear mother, Sarah, forcing Tova and Ilana's placement in several orphanages throughout the former Soviet Union and Central Asian Republics while their father Itzchak fought for the Russian Army against the Nazis. After being reunited with her treasured father, her father remarried and her siblings were born. The Schuchmacher family emigrated from Poland to Israel in 1957. Tova immigrated to the United States in 1963, where she married, had her own family and happily resided in both the Fairfax District and Beverly Hills. Services at Hillside Memorial Park, Wednesday, December 28 at 3:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to American Society for Yad Va Shem.
