Tracy Ann Riffel Obituary
Tracy Ann Riffel (nee Herrera) passed away on her journey to our heavenly father on August 21, 2015 after succumbing to an acute complication of a chronic illness. Tracy was born 9/14/75 in Los Angeles to Dr. Frank and Debbie Herrera. She was the precious first born of two children, the treasured love of her family. Tracy attended Brethren Elementary and went on to matriculate at Whittier Christian High School, graduating in June 1993. She married Dan Riffel, with whom she had a darling son Dylan, born on one of our nation's most memorable days, 9/11/01. Tracy eventually took on the challenge of single motherhood. She followed her passion for cooking, graduating from the Cordon Bleu School in Pasadena. Her career path led her to some of the most exclusive kitchens in Southern California, including the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey and the Langham in Pasadena. She also formed a catering company with friends. She took great pleasure in pursuing her love of the written word, reading through books at a rapid clip. She loved music, going out with friends, sharing the latest successes of her son, and sharing her exceptional talents in the kitchen with friends and family. She met the love of her life and her fiancé, Joe Dumont, and was delighted to include Joe's son's Ben and Nick in her life before she was raised to her final reward. She leaves behind her precious son Dylan Riffel, her beloved brother Adrian Herrera, her adoring mother Debbie and her doting father Frank Herrera, her aunts Darlene Witt, Rebecca Perez, and Idalisa Herrera, and her extended family including her multiple cousins.
