Valerie Lukosky Obituary
1941 - June 11, 2016 Valerie Clark Lukosky, "Val" to her friends, passed away on June 11, 2016. Born in Los Angeles in 1941, Val was the youngest of two girls. She met and married her lifelong sweetheart, Gilbert "Gibby" Lukosky while cruising the San Fernando Valley with her beloved sister, Carolyn. Val cherished her youth in the Valley and attended Marlborough High School, but found true happiness when the family moved to Newport Beach in 1972. The young Lukosky family moved to Newport Shores in 1972, and Val with her husband Gibby have been a mainstay in the community ever since. She is most remembered for her ownership of Yours With Love, a company that furnished custom uniforms for classic Newport Restaurants such as The Chart House, Delaney's, Rusty Pelican, Ancient Mariners, Josh Slocums, and Bobby McGee's. Val ran the business with her mother, Angel Elliotte from a small retail space near the Spaghetti Bender in Newport Shores. Val is survived by her son, Greg and his wife Suzanne; and her daughter, Christina and her husband Ryan; plus grandchildren: Emily, Nate, Jake, Riley, and Kate. Services will be held at 4pm, on Friday, July 8, at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 600 St. Andrews Rd, Newport Beach, with a Memorial Celebration at the Newport Shores Clubhouse at approximately 5:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to The Exchange Club of Newport Harbor.
