Virginia Lee Juzak Liotta Obituary
February 12, 1934 - September 14, 2015 West Hills: Virginia L. Liotta, age 81, passed away peacefully September 14th, 2015 at her home with loved ones at her side after a courageous battle against kidney cancer. Born on February 12, 1934 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The only daughter of Stephen Juzak (1890-1936) and Marion Juzak (1900-1993). She is predeceased by all three brothers and their wives: Frank (2002) & Lois (2011), Edward (2014) & Ruth (1987), and Albert (2006) & Sylvia (1991). Virginia aka "Ginny" was a graduate of St. John's High School in 1951 and was one of the first women allowed to take drafting classes. She graduated from Junior College in 1954. In 1955 Ginny moved to Chicago, Illinois to work while she attended Loyola University part-time for advanced mechanical and electrical drafting. She married in 1957 and had five children. After divorcing in 1976, she returned to the work force. She worked as a Designer/Draftsman in the aerospace industries located in the San Fernando Valley and was one of the first women trained in CADDS, Computer Aided Design and Drafting System. During her work years and once retired she enjoyed golfing and bowling. Her passions were reading, sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting and all sorts of crafting. She loved reading her newspapers, playing the ponies in the racing section (she always won), doing crossword puzzles and Sudoku. Surviving are her five children of which she always proudly called her "5K" and their families: Keith & Sharon Liotta, grandson Taylor of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Karen & Elmer Picard, grandsons Joe & Christophe of Quartz Hill, California; Ken & Rita Romano-Liotta of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Keryl & Jim Vair of Clifton Park, New York; and Kathryn & Tim Couture of Chatsworth, California. Family and friends are invited to attend memorial services at Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery October 17, 2015 at 1:00pm in Chatsworth, CA.
