Virginia Segura Marsoobian (Aunt B) was 67 years old died at her home in Laguna Niguel on 3/18/20015. Daughter of Russel Williams Smith and Velia Valenzuela. Mother to Eric Sebastian Marsoobian, Grandmother to Kenneth Russel Marsoobian and Jeanne Ingrid Marsoobian (J.I.M.), Great Grandmother to Christian Marsoobian. Sister to Carmen Norris (L), Carlos Valdez (L), Theresa Valdez (D), Albert Valdez (D), Lorraine Guevara (L), Sally Sayre (D), and Nicholas Valenzuela (L). Dearest friend to Lynn Dunn. Born & lived her youngest years in LA retiring in Laguna Niguel. She had a few and diversified employment history starting out furniture store cashier, bank clerk, office worker, licensed beautician, registered dietitian, and ending up as an educator. After graduating from CSULB with her Bachelors degree in Science, she went on to earn a Masters of Nutritional Science, and a Masters of Educational Leadership. Virginia had many talents and loved music, dancing, travel, camping, reading, gardening, and she loved going to school as a student as well as developing the Academy of Culinary Arts Program and then teaching the Culinary Arts at Banning High School in Wilmington. She was very proud of her students. She frequently rewarded students with going on field trips or taking small groups to Magic Mountain, camping, or to the beach. After retiring and knowing that the end of her life was in the near future she flew to France to visit the grave sites of the American soldiers killed on the Normandy beaches. Any memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Program in her name.
