Into his early 90's, even though most sports were no longer an option, due to blindness, he swam 40 laps three times a week. The family will hold a small remembrance gathering at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club. As per the "Chief's" wishes, the Neptune Society will scatter his ashes at sea.
