August 24, 1934 - July 16, 2015 William W.M. Lo, MD, passed away from the effects of cancer on July 16, 2015. Born in 1934 to Lo Tung Fan and Helen Lo, Bill spent his youth in Hong Kong and Tianjin, China. He received his BA from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, and MD from the University of Iowa. He moved to Los Angeles, where he met his wife, Rhoda. Bill practiced diagnostic radiology for 39 years at St. Vincent Medical Center, published 50 articles in medical journals, and mentored new radiologists. He served as President of the LA Radiological Society and the Western Neuroradiological Society, was made a Fellow of the American College of Radiology in 1992, and held an appointment as Clinical Professor of Radiology at the USC Keck School of Medicine. Bill was honored with the Doctor of the Year Award at St. Vincent Medical Center in 1999. In 2007, he received the Gold Medal from the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, as well as the Presidential Citation from the American Otological Society. Bill enjoyed tennis, photography, architecture, and world travel. Bill's greatest joy was his family, who will miss him tremendously. Bill is survived by his wife, Rhoda, of 52 years, son Kenneth, daughter-in-law, Ann Lederman, and granddaughter, Sophie, and son Clifford and daughter-in-law, Jeanie Cha, as well as his sister, Greta Ho, and brother, Michael, and their families.
