Yoshiko K. Tanaka Obituary
March 15, 1923 - February 21, 2017 Yoshiko "Yo" Kawaratani Tanaka, was born in Orange, California and spent her childhood in Orange County. Yo was interned in Poston, AZ and Tule Lake, CA during World War II. She married Isamu "Sam" Tanaka in 1949 and they resided in Costa Mesa where they raised their family until his passing in 2004. She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Kathleen (Dennis) Cherry, sons, William (Patricia Powers), and James Edward and granddaughter Denise Cherry (Jasper Sanidad); brothers Tsutomu (Atsuko) Kawaratani, Yukio (Lilian) Kawaratani; sisters, Fumiko Ozaki and Toshiko (Sam) Masumoto; sisters-in-law, Takako Kawaratani, Ikuko Kawaratani, Sadie Kawaratani, Aiko Kawaratani, and brother-in-law Yukio (Jean) Tanaka and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. In honoring her wishes, private services and interment were held March 2, 2017 at Westminster Memorial.
