Chen, Jerry (Jirui) M.D.,(73)
Research Scientist, Physician and Teacher Jerry (Jirui) Chen, 73 a research scientist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Director of Research at East West Medical Research Institute, Instructor at Samra University and Director of Research at Tongyuan International University died Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles. With advanced degrees from Yenching University and the prestigious Peking Union Medical College, Dr. Chen was the former Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture in New York City and served as a former Professor at the distinguished China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 1990 Dr. Chen relocated to Los Angeles from Beijing. He is survived by his wife, Connie of Los Angeles and two sons, David, Ph.D. of Bordeaux, France and Xin, Ph.D. of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Institute of Sociology, Beijing, two daughters-in-law and one granddaughter.
