Daniel Finegood

Born March 23, 1954, passed away January 22, 2007. Devoted husband of 27 years to Bonnie; loving father to Matt and Natalie; cherished son of Rae and the late David Finegood; adoring brother to Freddi Sue (Ethan Horowitz) Finegood.
Danny was kind, sweet and adventurous. He enjoyed a long career in the furniture industry but was perhaps best known for changing the Hollywood sign, most notably to "Hollyweed" in 1976.
He was an avid art lover who took pride in his extensive and unique collection of neon signs. Daniel loved to ski and play racquetball. Young at heart, he was an animal lover and a long time member of the Oakwood School Board. Known for the constant twinkle in his eyes and the way his eyebrows would dance when he was joking, Daniel was beloved by all who knew him.
Donations can be made in Daniel's memory to The Institute for Myeloma & Bone Cancer Research, 9201 Sunset Blvd., #300, West Hollywood, CA 90069.
Services are Thursday, 2 p.m. at Mount Sinai Memorial Parks & Mortuaries , 5950 Forest Lawn Dr., L.A., CA 90068, (800)600-0076.
