Still in my heart and thoughts. Often I think and wish I had Shelly to call and run things past. ALWAYS returned my calls and made me feel valued. A rare man and work mate, giving me a lot of love and experience and support. RIP brother.

Shelly was like my brother, big brother. Professionally speaking we were on the same page, how we respected and dealt with artists and people. Very rare man. Shelly NEVER said he'd call me back, Always took my calls. Just a genuine guy with great heart and knowledge of what he was doing. Some of the best experiences I've ever had in the studio. Sincerely wish he was still here.

Shelly and my daughter Elena were friends, and would call one another. I spoke with Shelly a couple of times, and was taken by his charm. He asked my daughter to help with the Jazz Hall of Fame he was hoping to open, and she tried to get Peavey's interested. Sadly, they declined. Hopefully, a Jazz Hall of Fame will open. Rest In Peace, Shelly. May Heaven enjoy your sense of humor, as much as we did. Denise Burnside

Shelly was like a big brother I never had. From first meeting he was positive and supportive of my musical and life endevores. We talked about life, death and everything in between. I was lucky enough to have worked with Shelly. He was a stand up guy. He ALWAYS returned my calls. He was a man of his word to me at all times. We had spoken in January and were planing on seeing each other in June. I am incredibly sad and in shock at his passing. God speed. RIP buddy. I can still hear you laughing at my silly comments.A truly great, great guy.
