Wow, Nancy was an amazing person, mother, daughter and grandmother! I loved her very much.
My earliest memories of her are playing with her two youngest kids in band in grade school. We'd go over to their house and it was full of sound, music, laughter, warmth, pet sounds, great smelling food, rambunctious kids playing all around and her artists studio above the garage. We'd enter the studio quietly, looking around at all the paint, brushes and her art work. It was very austere yet comfy. My grandmother was also an artist, so I had respect for Nancy right away!
Through the years, I was so lucky to be invited to numerous dinners, celebrations, weddings and her 80th birthday. She collected a wealth of eclectic friends who all enjoyed her art shows, her meals and her friendship.
I will miss her very much and she has a place in my heart forever.
