Fabrizio Mioni Obituary

Fabrizio Mioni, former actor and interior designer, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2020 in Los Angeles at the age of 89. Born and raised in Rome, Italy Fabrizio studied architecture at the University of Rome. While still a student, he discovered his acting talents participating in numerous Italian films and theatrical productions. In the late 1950's Fabrizio was encouraged to come to Los Angeles to further pursue his career in film and television. From the day he landed in Los Angeles, he loved the city and claimed it as his own. In mid-life he pursued a second successful career in interior design showcasing his elegant and refined taste. Fabrizio enjoyed a vibrant life always surrounded by his cherished dogs. His life was a full one populated with many loving friends, stimulating world travel, exhilarating music, theater, art and dance. His home was an oasis where he gathered his many treasured friends for good food, laughter and conversation. His genial humor and consistently upbeat personality will be missed by many. He leaves his two brothers Mauro of Los Angeles and Marcello of Rome, sister-in-law, Marcee of Los Angeles and countless, loving friends. A joyous celebration of Fabrizio's life will be held with family and friends at a later date.

Fabrizio was a delightful and beautiful friend with an extraordinary personality who could lit a room by his charisma and wit and had the talent to gather international friends around a kitchen table... never a dull moment with him... always a laugh even in sad moments... He was not only a good actor but a great interior designer with a natural gift for colors and objets... the angels and his friends will be happy to welcome him in heaven as dear Franco Zeffirelli and Lucchino Visconti... but for us left behind we are very saddened by his departure... Au revoir Fabrizio but never never for ever.... We will meet again my love ... Cte Alexandre and Élaine de Bothuri

A favorite and unsung actor who thankfully was on the Rossano Brazzi-Cesare Danova casting list. Favorite performance: Joaquin on The Big Valley (episode "Joaquin").

A favorite and unsung actor who thankfully was on the Rossano Brazzi/Cesare Danova casting list. I was thrilled when years after Hercules (1959), he gave a really impressive performance as Joaquin on the "Big Valley" (episode "Joaquin"). Perry Mason ("The Case of the Sad Sicilian") was another stand-out. People will most likely remember him as Jason in the Steve Reeves version of "Hercules" and as the Italian playboy in the fun Elvis flick "Girl Happy".

Fabrizio was a unique human being. Thank to his extreme sensibility he could easily understand other people problems and be close to his beloved friends. His passions for life, theatre, music and traveling were contagious. We won forget him for the rest of our life. His joie de vivre will stay with us forever. It will be impossible to have a friend like him. Lorenzo e Veronica
