Obituary Condolences

Fields-Arnold, Carole (59)
Co-Founder of the Musicians' Assistance Program (MAP), died June 11, 2004. Her incredible beauty, generosity and warmth were surpassed only by her remarkable courage and spirit. After a 30 year career as a successful talent agent, she dedicated the last 10 years to MAP by helping others fight drug and alcohol addiction. She helped organize an anti-drug public service campaign that reached young people through popular musicians which was recognized by the U.S. office of National Drug Control in 1999. Friendly House, a recovery home for women in Los Angeles, also recognized Carole's efforts with its Humanitarian Award in 1999. She was preceded in death by her two children, Christopher and Rachael Fields, by her husband, jazz great Buddy Arnold; and is survived by her mother, Ruth Ragusa Albert and a number of cousins. She also leaves behind many loving friends, both those she touched and those she saved. At her request, her burial was private. For those sending condolences, please make a charitable gift in her memory to Friendly House which can be found on the Internet at www.friendlyhouse.net.
