Carol was born in Long Beach on December 10, 1933, she passed away on November 30, 2017. Her parents, were Kenneth and Elizabeth McCafferty. For many years she was known as Carol Robinson, while married to Donald B. Robinson, father of her children, Kenneth R. Robinson of Japan, married to Atsuko Kosaka and Shannon Gregory of Lomita, married to Robin Gregory. She also leaves two grandchildren, Travis Gregory and Gavin Gregory
She taught in the Paramount elementary schools for 31 years. For many of those years she was a reading specialist.
She was active in many organizations, but gave the most time, energy and money to the Long Beach Chapter of N.O.W., the National Organization for Women.
As a member of the Wilmore City Heritage Assn., she was known for her witty take on the neighborhood. She wrote the column, "Cheap Therapy" for many editions of the local newsletter. She was instrumental in helping to create and write the Charter to turn Wilmore City into a historic district. She also served on the Cultural Heritage Commission, and was a member of the Long Beach Historical Society.
She will be remembered for ability to find humor in just about anything.
