"Hotdog" (Bubba)
Was born on April 22, 1974 and passed away on January 14, 2014 at the age of 39. He was born and raised in Upland Los Olivos, a resident of Upland all his life. He attended the Upland Schools and graduated from Alta Loma High School in 1994. He worked at VIP in Rancho Cucamonga for 17 years. He is survived by his mother; Teresa Contreras Avila, sisters; Yolanda Delgado, Frances (Johnny) Nuno, and Inez Avila of Upland. Proceeded in death by his father; David A. Avila, brother; Mando David Avila; and great-nephew Zeus. Grandparents, Helen Contreras and Manuel T. Contreras of Montclair. Nephews and nieces, John J, Joseph, Jina, Lea Delgado, Cameron, John, Lily and Cecilia Nuno and great-nephew/niece Jeffery and Michelle of Upland. Aunts, Uncles and enormous amount of Cousins and all his Friends from living in Upland, school, work, church, going to Bible Studies, hospitals or just passing by. Godparents; Moto Gonzales and Marcie Gonzales. His only godson, Israel Torres and bestfriend, Kenneth Kirby. He loved to dance and listen to his oldies; he was a gentle- loving person with a huge heart that touched many lives and he never saw wrong in anyone. David's favorite color was Blue and he craved salt. Most important, he accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and went to church or Bible Study at every opportunity. Visitation -Thursday, Jan. 23rd Stone Funeral Home 355 E. 9th Street, Upland from 5-8pm. Service-Friday, Jan. 24th Rivers Edge Church 9271 Arrow Route, Rancho Cucamonga 12:30p.m. Interment immediately follows service at Bellevue Memorial Park 1240 "G" St. Ontario, CA. Memorial reception (potluck) following burial at his sister Yolanda's home 1422 Armsley Square, Ontario, CA 91762. Stone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
