July 17, 1927 - July 27, 2018 Marion Holliday Garland, with love and peace in her heart, passed away quietly at her home at Country Meadows Village, Sedro-Woolley, Washington, in the early morning hours on Friday, July 27, 2018. Marion was born on July 17, 1927 to Hazel (Bennett) and Buddy Holliday in Seattle, Washington. Marion and Earl Everett Garland were married on November 9, 1946 in Seattle, Washington. Marion was proud to be the wife of a Naval Officer. She was a dedicated volunteer and employee of the Navy Relief Society in Long Beach, California. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Earl E. Garland; her sister Kay Holliday Pease; her brother Bruce Holliday; her sister, Margie Lewis Miller and her beloved Aunt Bethel Bennett.Marion is survived by her four children: Judy Lynn Garland Tyykila (Thomas) of Sedro-Woolley, Washington; Cheryl Ann Garland McGary (Charles) of Spirit Lake, Idaho; Jeffrey Allen Garland (Lorie) of Highlandville, Missouri; Theodore Earl Garland (Li) of Long Beach, California; her six grandchildren and her thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Betty Holliday Cherry of Seattle, Washington and her brother Daniel "Buddy" Holliday of Camano Island, Washington.The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation and gratitude to the Staff of Country Meadow Village and the staff of the Hospice of the Northwest for their generous and loving care.
