Norman Victor Style Norman Victor Style was born on April 8, 1924 in Los Angeles, California to Thomas E. and Florence M. (Seymour) Style. Norman joined the United States Navy in May of 1941 and served in the Submarine Service in both WWII and Korean War. Norman married Avis M. Sveum on July 27, 1947 in Pasadena and they were married for 45 years. Norman worked for the Autonetics division of Rockwell Corporation. He was an engineer, responsible for the guidance system of the Minute Man Rocket project. Norman was a proud member of the Lakewood Elks 1570, and served as Exalted Ruler from 1975 to 1976. Norman was an avid woodworker, building everything from furniture to boats. Norman was predeceased by his wife, Avis in 1992. Norman is survived by his children Linda Riordan (John) of Fenton, Mo., Beverly Rostawicki (Ronald) of Lake Arrowhead, Ca., Randall Style (Linda) of Lakewood, Ca., and Richard Style (Laurie) of Cerritos, Ca., 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
