Betty Zabish Obituary

Bette Jane Zabish

Bette was born in Muncy, Pennsylvania on September 6, 1925 and passed away January 8, 2018 at the age of 92. She was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to Long Beach in 1946. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, George; son, Don Zabish and grandson, Chad Zabish.

Bette was proud of her 36 year career with the Long Beach Unified School District where she retired as Assistant Secretary to the Board of Education. Following her retirement she was an active volunteer with the Children's Dental Health Clinic support group, The 32/32 Club, Jonathan Jacques Children's Cancer Center and Republican Women. She and George enjoyed traveling and visited destinations worldwide.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Candice Stacy and Candice's husband, Larry Stacy. Please sign the guestbook at www.presstelegram.com/obits
