Guadalupe Tomé

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Guadalupe Sanchez Tomé, 66, of Las Cruces on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 11, 1948 in Anthony to Gregorio and Virginia Morales Sanchez. Guadalupe was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her loving husband of forty-four years, Edward B. Tomé Jr. of the family home; a son, Eddie Tomé III of Las Cruces; three daughters, Lorena Tomé and companion Jacob Gamboa, and Leah Tomé all of Los Lunas, Olivia Tomé and companion, Ernesto Fernandez also of Las Cruces; four brothers, Lorenzo, Tony, Ray and Pete Sanchez; four sisters, Christina Vargas, Anna Sanchez, Velia Torres and Emma Perez. Other survivors include eighteen grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Guadalupe was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ysabelle Sanchez and two sisters, Chita Dominguez and Martha Torres. Visitation for Mrs. Tomé will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road. The Funeral Service is scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2915 E. Idaho with Bishop Bryce Heiner officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Eddie Tomé, III, Ricky Montoya, Eddie Tomé, IV, Jacob Gamboa, Trey Alcachupas and Ernesto Fernandez.
