Manuel Sandoval

Manuel "Manny" Sandoval, 61, passed away surrounded by loved ones on July 7, 2014. Manny or "Uncle Mo" as he was fondly called by all his family was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on April 28, 1953, to Anita and Andres Sandoval. Manny lived a full and productive life all of his days. He earned a degree at the Technical Vocational Institute and was a hard-working man always making friends along the way. He worked at T U Electric, in Monahans, Texas, for 10 years. Manny had been a detail and construction maintenance man most of his life and enjoyed his work. "Uncle Mo" was a loving and kind man who loved his family dearly. He was a staunch Raiders fan and also, being a 1971 LCHS graduate, he loved watching all LCHS Bulldawg football, basketball and soccer games. He was an avid car enthusiast and member of the Rod Runners Car Club and enjoyed the camaraderie of all the club members. Manny was an intelligent, creative, spiritual, loving soul that will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Hermelinda, of the family home; his two sons, Mathew of El Paso, Texas, Andrew and his wife, Freja, of Denmark; stepsons, Ben Uribe (Jaynie) and Mike Uribe(Melissa); his father, Andres Sandoval; his brother, Julio Sandoval; his sisters, Martha Dozier (Clint), Alicia Reyes (Carlos), and Inez Alexander (Steve). He is also survived by all his beloved grandchildren, Marian, Mikey, Lito, Daisy, and Sky Joaquin, and many nephews and nieces and carloads of friends. Manny was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Anita, and his sister-in-law, Lucy Montes-Sandoval. Viewing will be today, July 11, at noon to 2 p.m. at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home and services will follow at 2 p.m. with Father Narcisco officiating.
