It is with great sadness and sorrow that our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, Tia, and friend Francisca V. Baca, 74, known by "Frances" and "Kika", entered the eternal kingdom of heaven on July 8, 2018 surrounded by her family at Mesilla Valley Hospice. Frances was born on June 18, 1944, in Vado, New Mexico, to Francisco and Victoriana Villa. She lived her life as a mother, homemaker, and grandmother. While Frances had many hobbies that included sewing, cooking, and babysitting, her greatest treasure was caring for her family. Memories of Frances will forever be remembered.
She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Stokes and companion, Gary Roybal, of Albuquerque, and Julie Baca of Las Cruces; son, George Baca Jr. and wife, Crystal Baca, of Las Cruces; five grandchildren, Bobbie Stokes, Nicole Baca, Daniel and Samuel Thai, and Aydrik Baca; great grandchild, Sean Moore Jr.; two brothers, Enrique Villa (Lucy) and Rito Villa (Jessica); sister, Rosa Villa (Armando) ; all of Vado, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Baca; a daughter, Grace Baca; two brothers, Guadalupe Villa and Federico Villa; three sisters, Vicenta Villa, Esperanza Martinez, and Maria Ontiveros.
Visitation for Mrs. Baca will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church,1178 N Mesquite St., where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 11 a.m. The Mass will be celebrated immediately thereafter, with Interment to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel, Samuel, and Todd Thai, Bobbi Stokes, Nicole Baca, Sean Moore, and Richard Villa. Honorable pallbearers are Michele Vazquez and Lorenzo Saiz.
