Jacob Saul Benavides
Anthony - JACOB SAUL BENAVIDES, age 37, of Anthony entered eternal life on Friday, December 18, 2020 at his home with loved ones at his bedside. Born February 23, 1983 in El Paso to Steve and Cynthia Herrera Benavides. Jacob graduated from Gadsden High School then served his country honorably in the United States Navy and was member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Jacob was the life of the party. He loved his family and friends; his smile was infectious; you couldn't help, but be happy around him. He will be missed.
Those left to mourn his passing include his loving parents, Steve and Cynthia Benavides of the family home; brother, Jason Benavides (Jessa) of Kansas; sister, Amanda Frarie (Angel); three nieces and three nephews; his maternal grandmother, Josefina Herrera of Santa Teresa; his godparents, Debbie and Joe Carrasco and Carlos Jaimez, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and best friend David Escobar and many friends. Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry Herrera; paternal grandparents, Saragosa Benavides and Mary V. Rodriguez and other family members.
At his request cremation has taken place and recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 9:30 AM Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 224 Lincoln Street with the Memorial Mass to be celebrated immediately thereafter. Inurnment of cremains will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at a later date. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, capacity of attendees will be limited and everyone is asked to please wear a mask. Thank you.
