Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, MILDRED FRANCES BLANTON, age 85, of Las Cruces passed from this life on Friday, November 23, 2018 at La Posada – Mesilla Valley Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sinton, TX to Euwell and Ruth Hale Gilchrest on August 29, 1933. Mrs. Blanton was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Chapel Assembly of God.
Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband, Robert Thomas Blanton of the family home; three sons, Ronald Thomas Blanton and wife Donna, Douglas Duane Blanton wife Carolyn, Wendell Wayne Blanton and wife Tracy; two grandchildren, Heather Lynn Blanton, and Ryan Thomas Blanton and wife Erica all of Las Cruces. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas Gilchrest; two sisters, Claudie Gilchrest and Bernice Chewning.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 6 PM to 7 PM in Baca's Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 1:30 PM in the same chapel with Pastor Jeremy Sullivan officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue where she will be laid to rest.
Serving as casket bearers will be Ronald, Douglas, Wendell and Ryan Blanton, Devon Lowenhaupt, and David Roberts.
